National Poetry Month, 1

April is National Poetry Month. I can’t promise I’ll share a poem every day, but I’ll give it a shot. First up is a short poem that packs quite a punch the more you mull it over:

The Lover in Winter Plaineth for the Spring

Western wind, when will thou blow
The small rain down can rain?
Christ, if my love were in my arms,
And I in my bed again!
