  1. I don't use WD-40 anymore. For indoor use, where a greaseless, odorless, non-staining lubricant is needed, WD-40 is horrible. I use Jigaloo instead. As a penetrant, and rust combatant, Release-all is better, as is Rust-check. As a lubricant, it's really too thin and impermanent. For example, on your hood latch, I highly recommend you get some white litium grease onto that thing, because the WD-40 you sprayed it with is already gone.

  2. All I know is that I used it on my refrigerator door that was squeaking and my front door that was squealing and they both sound great. Which is to say, I don't hear them at all!

  3. I think they also came up with WD-22 which worked well as a lubricant but only when applied before a companion product (WD-21) which caused the item to dry out and thus become squeaky not move easily.
