I’ve never seen the movie, but John Williams’s score to Empire of the Sun is generally held to be one of his finer efforts. Here’s “Caddilac of the Skies”.

This is one of my favorite movies. We watch it at least once a year around here. We love it so much, my son bought me the soundtrack one year as a birthday gift. GREAT movie, but have your Kleenex nearby!
