The colors, I guess. I'm not a big fan of fall. I would like it a lot better if the nice weather lasted more than just a few weeks. To me fall mostly means "Look out! Winter is coming!" and I hate winter.
The weather is cool enough that I can leave cooler full of ice and beer on the porch and the ice sticks around for 3-4 days. 3-4 days of lovely, 32 degree beer.
I love everything about autumn except raking leaves. Living in this college town, I love that for some reason I can hear the Westminster chimes in the university bell tower about seven blocks away. I don't know why I can't hear it all year. Also, early in the mornings I can hear the percussion section of the OSU marching band rehearsing on the university lawn.
Mulled cider. And the leaves, though not only do I hate raking them, I think it's a stupid, pointless thing to do. It happens to insure domestic tranquility.
So many things! But if I had to pick one: it's the nip in the air. Just cold enough to pull out a nice jacket or blanket and snuggle.
