There’s nothing like getting the old “Thanks for your resume, not now, but we’ll keep it on file” letter….three months after I had sent them the resume in the first place. The temptation to fire off a letter reading, “Thanks for getting back to me in timely fashion; I’m sure you have hundreds of resumes to sort through for that part-time office clerk position” is overwhelming.
(And does it say anything bad about me as a person that a dream of mine is to win the lottery, buy the two buildings from which my former company leases office space, and then evict them?)
