A name, explain’d

For some reason, the comments thread to this post got slightly sidetracked into a discussion on the merits of the name of John’s blog, Tosy and Cosh, which John now explains thusly:

It’s the title to a song from the 1960s musical On a Clear Day You Can See Forever.

Ah. Now, Nefarious Neddie wondered if Tosy and Cosh was some country music duo (hell, I dunno, the only country duo that leaps to my mind is Brooks and Dunn), and I always thought it sounded like a cop-buddy movie from 1991 starring Tom Hanks and Judge Reinhold. But a song title from a musical scored by Burton Lane to lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner? That’s pretty cool.

(But I’d have gone with “Come Back To Me”, personally.)
