    The Mississippi. It's fun to spell, it's useful in counting seconds (One Mississippi, two Mississippi), and it's vast with stories all along it, from Mark Twain to New Orleans jazz.

    I like me some Columbia.

    Although I often wonder why our hometown stretch of the Allegany was never put to more touristy, scenic use. Throw a bar on that baby and watch the Bona cakes line up.
