Brownies: with walnuts in them, or without?

No! No walnuts! I don't want crunchy bits in my chocolatey goodness.
Definitely without. I have nothing against walnuts, but I like my brownies to be all brownie. Mmmm, brownies.
Without. The daughter's allergic to peanuts; peanuts and tree nuts are often processed together.
Without. With. Whatever. Just give me a brownie, please.
Brownies, by definition, are pretty darned wonderful. Walnuts, I can take or leave. Their presence doesn't destroy a good brownie, nor does their absence.
Curse you and your gratuitous walnuts! Only pecans shall be in thy brownies, and be there they must!
