  1. Now I want to see it again too. Excellent write-up.

  2. I'm trying to think what my Les Miz would be; maybe I don't have one. But glad yours was fulfilled.

  3. Ah, Les Mis. I have a bit of infatuation with it myself, having seen the live production numerous times (including the final show of Toronto's original run with Colm, 2nd row from the stage – close enough to hear the actors pre-amplified). I've read the entire Victor Hugo novel, which is still one of the biggest novels I've ever tackled.

I was supposed to go to this "refreshed" show too, but got messed up on the on sale dates and missed the opportunity to get decent seats. Glad you enjoyed it. Definitely will make a point to see it next time around.

  4. I felt the same way the first time I saw The Nutcracker on stage last year.

I also got to see Carmen last year – not a stage performance. It was pipped in from the Met to my local theater.

It was dazzling. From the description you gave of Les Mix, you'll fall in love with Carmen.
