  1. The Bills game is #1 because it was in the playoffs. And because the Oilers scored 1st in the second half, at which point I ALMOST turned off the TV. But I did not.

    The Pats-Falcons is second because it was the SB.

    That Jags-Chargers playoff game this month deserves some consideration. The Jags QB threw FOUR interceptions in the 1st half and they were down 27-0, but they won 31-30 on a FG with 3 seconds.

    But a baseball box score can tell you a LOT IF you saw the game. I remember a young pitcher’s debut as a Yankee c 2016. He gave up a run in the 7th, but nothing in the 8th or 9th. His ERA was 3.0. After the 7th, it was 9.0, then after the 8th, it was 4.50, which was on the scoreboard.

    Still, you’re right that it’s always about the STORY. Ruth’s called homer in the 1932 WS. Mays’ basket catch in the 1954 WS. Yogi Berra jumping on Don Larsen after the only WS perfect game. Bucky f###in’ Dent.
