Oddities and Awesome abound!

:: Major highlights in the history of Space Opera. I can quibble about some of these, but it’s a cool little summation of my favorite genre-within-a-genre.

:: Apparently there are characters in The Hunger Games (the book) who are specifically described as being dark-skinned…and some readers who don’t seem to be enamored of black people either didn’t realize this or didn’t notice it, so when those characters showed up onscreen as dark-skinned, well…hilarity ensued. In a pretty depressing way.
