An Election Day Reminder

Remember, no matter what happens — whether your candidate wins or loses, whether he wins or loses in a squeaker or a blowout, whether there’s another statistical tie that requires much legal stuff afterward — no matter what happens tomorrow….

….you still gotta go to work on Wednesday morning.

The banks will still open, Starbucks will still sell coffee, broccoli will still taste terrible, the Red Sox will still be World Champions, Attack of the Clones will still be a terribly underrated movie, and England’s Kings Henry I through VIII will all still be dead. And the United States will still be here.

So let’s not go insane, OK, folks? We’re still a country.
