   I have an extremely small yard, so stand-up. (I actually use a reel mower. I'm a bit of a Luddite, but I also like not having to mess with oil or gasoline or spark plugs)

   Old-fashioned push mower! All the nice cut grass smell with none of the fumes. Also, gives you a workout!

   Neither. I'm allergic to cut grass. I live in a city.

   Stand-up, push mower, for me, thanks. I'd consider a ride-on if I had a much bigger yard. It takes me about 45 minutes per week in the summer to mow my lawn, and I don't mind doing it at all.

   I've though about getting a reel mower. How big a lawn are you mowing with it?

   Not a huge yard, 50'x128' lot. But it isn't any more work than the gas powered push mower (not self-propelled) I used as a kid.
