The final Sentential Links of 2010. Enjoy! :: On Wednesday, I pulled into the gym parking lot on my lunch break. As I was gathering my stuff together to get out of the car, a gym rat strutted slowly by. We all know the type, thanks to “Jersey Shore.” Oversized muscles, tanning-bed-orange in hue, ripped sweatshirt hanging off one shoulder. He ambled with self-importance toward his vehicle, which was a truck. :: Part of the difficulty with this Christmas is that The Daughter did not seem to want to give up anything she already has. Games and toys, especially stuffedDown the rabbit hole….

Those who seek linkage, shall find it. Ommmmm…. :: My co-workers are scavenging through it like lions over a baby wildebeest. :: So I say, let’s get back to the good old days, the old time religion of the Aztecs. Sure, it had some gruesome bits, but it still beats having to go through Christmas every year. :: By the time February rolls around we are all sick of of cold, snow and dark– why not celebrate Christmas then, when everyone’s spirits use some brightening up? :: Though I generally don’t believe in other people’s mysterious ailments, I do believeDown the rabbit hole….

Let’s get to the linkage! :: I have a huge confession to make. It’s something that I’ve tried to hide, but I can no longer keep silent. I’m sure that when you read it you’ll all leave me en masse and never come back here again. I will have crossed that line with you at last. (I need to…be more exposed to what Steph is confessing about here.) :: They need to be ready because in January the awards season begins!! A standard rule of thumb: an actress’ skin must be pulled tighter than the red carpet. What they don’tDown the rabbit hole….

Sorry this is late, folks, but EarthLink is not allowing me to do many of the things I like to do online. Fewer links than usual, but onward with the linkage! :: In one of those memes I do sometimes, there was a question about the movie that I found most scary. The problem was that I saw it when I was nine, give or take a year, couldn’t remember the title, and I didn’t even know how well I remembered the details. (Wow, that does sound like a scary movie!) :: Watch Family Guy for a week. I thinkDown the rabbit hole….

Linkage time…. :: Check that out! An actual series of dust storms blowing off the coats of Alaska! :: But suffice to say that different people are going to respond differently to superlongevity, and that boredom and ennui will soon be treated as vestigial psychological states that will be self-regulated it if not eliminated altogether. :: The word eye has to be one of the funniest words in the English language. Especially when it’s said all by itself: “EYE!” :: OK, who were the best bloggers and Twitterers from before the WWW, perhaps before the 20th century? Letter writers, pamphleteers,Down the rabbit hole….

Linkage! Linkage! Linkage!!! :: At one point, Becca turned to me and said: “She’s the only reason we’re watching this. If you weren’t attracted to her, we’d probably have turned this off half an hour ago.” :: I’m pretty much a genfic guy. Light romance is okay, especially if it’s funny, but for the most part I’m the farthest thing possible from a relationshipper. I don’t want characters to get smooshed together; I want to watch them interact. I’m not a big fan of pure romance, and I really don’t want porn. My big thing is that I like seeingDown the rabbit hole….

Lnikage. Likange. And linkage! :: Of course, it’s worth appreciating the fact that we know the Bush/Cheney tax policy Republicans are desperate to continue didn’t produce the intended results. Indeed, it was abject failure — it didn’t create jobs, it didn’t generate tremendous growth, and it didn’t keep a balanced budget. In other words, the one economic policy Republicans will fight for, no matter what, is the one economic policy we know didn’t work. :: It’s almost as if the tea party isn’t really a libertarian minded grass roots uprising calling for more personal freedom, fiscal conservatism, and limited government,Down the rabbit hole….

Linkage…. :: So consider this my notice to all of you out there: if you need someone to Jump for Jupiter, either with you or for you, I’m your girl. :: This is a sheep farm. I know that now. :: I love to eat while I read or read while I eat, which may result in unfortunate accidents. :: I have a tendency to read a lot more into fall (rebirth! potential!) than most, having never outgrown that whole back-to-school excitement (a feeling, I suppose, not shared by all, but I always loved school, and summer just gets toDown the rabbit hole….

Linkage time…. :: In other words, there are bizarro ideas on both sides of the fence. No argument there. And yet, there are differences. Here’s my list: (Click through to read one of the best posts I’ve seen yet regarding the whole “Hey, you liberals have crazies on your side too!” argument.) :: Everyone on the street feared her and did what they could to avoid her. I didn’t like her one bit. But nobody deserves what happened to her. Nobody. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd away we go! :: This is the year of Republican Revenge and all they want is to bring the temple crashing down around their ears in order to enjoy the sight of their enemies being crushed in the rubble. :: Whew. Scary story. Fortunately, it is only a “what if.” Good thing we voted for change. :: Snark is easier than describing something delicious. :: So I have decided to disconnect one day a week to be “alone” without a thousand tweets, comments, status messages, replies, and emails. I will spend one full day a week alone with myDown the rabbit hole….
