So, this morning I finished my first round of proofreading and minor edits on Princesses In SPACE!!! Stardancer (wow, it feels weird typing that after so many years of the working title), and it came time to upload the files. I’m using CreateSpace to create the book, and the process is pretty simple: when you’re done typing and formatting and whatnot, you export the innards of your book as a single PDF, which you then upload to CreateSpace for their “Review Process”. This process involves the CreateSpace folks looking over your file to make sure it meets their standards forDown the rabbit hole….

Jason Bennion speaks about a subject near and dear to my heart: my book! He was/is one of my beta-readers, and he provided a lot of useful comment regarding various matters within the book’s pages. In fact, I was on the fence about one entire scene until he commented favorably upon it, so that scene stayed. Anyway, hopefully that whets the appetite a whee bit! So, where do we stand on various projects? Here’s where! :: Princesses In Space!!! (not the actual title) is whisking right along toward November release. I’ve already had one proof copy come back with some mark-ups, so I’ll be able to fix those errors and then generate Proof Copy #2, which I will then go over with a fine-toothed comb. Once that’s ready, the book will be locked. Meanwhile, October will see some exciting stuff! On October 1, the book trailer (revealing the ACTUAL TITLE!!!) will go live. A week or so later I’ll unveil the cover art, and thenDown the rabbit hole….

…until I start revealing stuff! That’s the proof copy of Princesses In SPACE!!! (not the actual title). On October 1, I will be launching my Official Author Site, and the prime piece of content to kick it off will be the Official Trailer For The Book, at the end of which will be revealed The Actual Title. Later on in October I will unveil the book’s cover art, and I will post two sample chapters. Then, in November…it’s showtime. It’s coming, folks! It’s really coming! Onward and upward! Zap! Pow!! This was my celebratory treat last evening: a wee bit o’single malt Scotch! Why, you ask? Because I completed the edits on Princesses In SPACE!!! (not the actual title). There will still be one more round of proofreading, but no more major editing. The body of the book is now in what will be its final form, minus typographical screwups that I haven’t yet rooted out. I enjoyed this part of the process immensely, and I found that a big help was actually having already written two drafts of the second book in this series. I know my characters better now, soDown the rabbit hole….
