How messy is your desk?
Mine is probably just past the point where a neat freak would go “GAHHH!!!!” at the sight of it, but I don’t think my desk is really messy, either. I think I’m generally in-between. My whole library area could use some tidying, though. Maybe on an upcoming long weekend….

Gets REALLY messy. When I can't find something I know is there, I clean it.
My lap is my desk nowadays, but when I had a desk it was tidy, but decorated with a plant, books, paperweights, etc. But extraneous mess? None, as long as I wasn't writing. 🙂
Mine is sufficiently messy that I once got written up by the Safety Busybodies for having too many piles of paper.
I can only find things if I am allowed to have piles! When I move too many things at one time I forget where stuff is.
