You know, it’s not a hard job to do. A new plug will run you about $4 at Home Depot (or around $15 if you want the “professional” one). Replacing a plug on a wire takes about fifteen minutes, and the only tools you really need are a screwdriver and a sharp-bladed knife.

I can’t believe someone did this.

    Oh that must just be the worst nightmare for a technician like yourself. This person reminds me of a kid I once taught who was determined to find out what happened when he put a copper wire into the outlets on the individual science labs – just what I told him would happen except for the fact that he made the lights and himself blink off and on. Then he filled his diaper…literally.
