  1. SK Waller says:

Pie, unless you have carrot cake.

  2. Lynn says:

Oh man, what a choice! I love BOTH! But if I have to choose just one, pie I guess. There are so many different kinds of pie – fruit pies and cream pies and I like most of them.

  3. Roger Owen Green says:

Pie. Well, not mincemeat, but any fruit pie. Though carrot cake IS appealing.

And the question is so lazy that I think I'll steal it and use it 6 months myself.

  4. Thee Earl of Obvious says:

May I remind his majesty that cake is the food of which revolutions are born.

A hearty Shepard's Pie for the good people in my shire will be promised and never shall I let them eat cake.

homemade chocolate cake > wild blueberry pie > hot-milk sponge cake with caramel icing > Coconut cream pie > chocolate cream pie > apple pie made from real apples > pie from homemade mincemeat > maraschino cherry cake > buttermilk or custard pie > spice cake > lemon pie > raisin or other dried-fruit pie > any pie made with canned pie filling > carrot cake > "hummingbird cake"> any cake made from a box mix

So it's complicated. Depending on how hungry I am or how fat I feel on a given day, the cut off line between eat/won't eat falls anywhere from homemade mincemeat to raisin pie. Anything above that I will PROBABLY eat, anything below that, probably not.

Hummingbird cake is supposedly a southern favorite, but it makes my teeth curl up and scream because it's too sweet.

  6. Call me Paul says:

    Cake.

  7. Aaron says:

Carrot cake. You may recall having carrot cake at my wedding. Unless you didn't. Glad to see carrot cake getting some love.

Chocolate, chocolate-chip is nice too, but I do love pie.

Damnit. Now I want cake and pie, just as I am approaching losing 25 pound in three months…
