Beat it. Eddie Van Halen on guitar combined with an anti violence message made it all around a better song. Thriller got more publicity because of the choreography but the song itself was weak.
Beat It, though, to be honest, I don't love either one.
Nah, "Thriller." Definitely "Thriller." Because any song featuring the voice and laugh of Vincent Price wins by default.
(Besides, the adolescent masturbation jokes spawned by "Beat It" were… embarrassing.)
Beat It; it takes on West Side Story, my favorite musical of all time. And has the Eddie gee-tar.
Thriller may have been a bigger, longer video, but creepy. And not in a good way. It's just a lesser SONG. But yes, it does have Vincent Price.
"Thriller," thanks to Vincent Price.
The question is which song. "Beat It."
