This situation is out of control. It is out of control and we will be lucky to live through it.

I can’t imagine who thought chicken-and-waffles was a viable flavor for a potato chip.

They’re…well, they’re OK. I would never buy them again, but I don’t recoil in horror from them, either.

My reaction was much more dark. On chewing it, I felt very… grim. Like I had eaten something wrong.

Yeah! I didn't find the taste bad, so much as just wrong. Just weird!

I haven't see those and I doubt I ever will. You are probably in a "test market" and based on your reaction I'm thinking they probably failed the test.
