OK, folks: for research purposes, I need these items:
:: A good telling of the classic “Dick Whittington” tale.
:: A good nonfiction resource on the history and function of lighthouses. Not contemporary lighthouses, mind you, but ones from the Middle Ages and onward. Pictures helpful.

Can’t help you with OLD lighthouses, but my beloved and I spent a weekend at the Heceta Head Lighthouse a couple years back. They’ve turned the old lighthouse keeper’s residence into a charming B & B. Both the food and the accomodations were quite delightful. We got to go up inside the lighthouse and see the workings of it. Very cool.
