Nope, not back to Leonard Cohen yet either. That should happen next week! Meanwhile, here’s ELO, one of my newest Favorite Bands. (I’ve always liked ELO from afar but I didn’t know their stuff very well. I’ve been catching up of late.)

I saw a Leonard Cohen documentary recently. Highly recommended if you can find it.
But ELO is nice; I have one album and one greatest hits, but Jeff Lynne shows up with the Traveling Wilburys, plus him producing Harrison, Petty, and Orbison, AND the “new” Beatles songs from 1995.
I read somewhere (but of course I can’t remember where!) that ELO produced the kind of music that The Beatles would have been doing if they had stayed together into the 70s. I don’t know if I can properly assess that claim, but it feels right!
