Roman Meal, if I have my way, but in the last few years the local stores rarely have it so these days it's usually Nature's Own 100% Whole Grain and, to be honest, I think I might like it better than Roman Meal. I just have sort of an emotional attachment to RM I guess. It was the bread my grandmother always bought.
Just plain old white bread here, all wheat and 100% grain breads taste dirty to me. The "it's better for you" argument is lost on me since most sandwiches are covered in mayo or topped with bacon.mmm bacon.I have a good friend who tries to eat healthy and get me to try stuff. She even calls her bread "dirt bread" now and when I go there I bring mine and when she comes here she brings her's. Oh and a recent find is refrigerator onion bagels for a sandwich. They keep a long time (hate tossing 1/2 loaves of bread) and taste good.
Either sour dough or light rye, depending on what's going into it.
Winnipeg Rye bread with dough made fresh by Ukrainian farm girls. It's a manly loaf that few can handle as mere toast. Work up to it – it's not the bread for your first sammich. Not even you are that tough or cool.
Franz wheat bread, bought at the outlet bread store.
Whole wheat.
I grew up with white bread, loved white bread, and now it tastes fake.
Sourdough or whole grain whole wheat. I hate the taste of enriched breads anymore.
