So for the last while I’ve been wondering why nobody comments on anything here anymore…and then Roger emails me to say, “Hey, I’m leaving comments and they never clear moderation, so are you getting the notifications emailed to you?”
Guess what! I have NOT been receiving notifications of comments, so I had a pile in my “Awaiting Moderation” queue. I’ve just released them all (save one that was spam), and I’ll try to remember to check that on a regular basis now. For anyone who was seeking to engage conversation, my apologies!

I had that happen once. Logged in to find an awesome comment that would have sparked a great discussion in the comments thread if it hadn’t been almost six weeks old. D’oh!

Blogger recently pooped out on that functionality. I was wondering "hey why no comments" (not that I ever get many) and I checked the comments toolbar and….whoops.
(This was like back in MAY). Blogger help claims they're "on it," but I'm betting e-mailed notifications don't come back. Even for those of us on a gmail platform. I do not like it; now pretty much the only e-mail I get is spam or people asking me to do stuff.
