Not my favorite piece in the world — I always find it a bit repetitive on the way to its unquestionably thrilling climax — but I’ve had it on the brain a bit since linking part of it in my Erich Kunzel memorial post, so here’s Seiji Ozama conducting the Berlin Philharmonic in Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. (It’s in two parts.)

Repetitive? Maybe I need to try harder to hear the repetitiveness. I've always found it very interesting.
I don't hear the repetitiveness, but again I have an untrained ear. Also, I still don't understand what you have against baroque.
1812 was the 2nd piece of "classical music" I could recognize (after the 2nd movement of Beethoven's 9th). It may be repetitive but I'm not hearing it.
