OK, time for a hypothetical thought experiment kind of thing!

Name two musicians whom you would love to hear in a duet together. The catch? Both must be dead, and have never (to a reasonable degree of confidence in knowledge) performed together in their lifetimes. My choice? John Lennon and John Denver.

  1. Roger Owen Green says:

George Harrison and Miles Davis. Both experimented with their music.

  2. Glenn Whidden says:

Screamin' Jay Hawkins and Tiny Tim. Would that be awesome or what?

  3. Lynn says:

Mozart (piano, of course) and Josef Suk (violin)

It's still early. That was my early morning, spur-of-the-moment, top-of-my-head thought.

  4. Michael May says:

    Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline.

  5. Roger Owen Green says:

Michael – Patsy did tour with John in 1962, including at the Hollywood Bowl, so I have a difficult time thinking they never sang together.

  6. Michael May says:

Sticking with the Cash family, how's about June Carter Cash and Bing Crosby?
