Thank God he’s not MY former Governor!

On The Celebrity Apprentice: Geez, is Rod Blagojovich sleazy or what? Every time he’s on screen, I feel like I’m watching Michael Scott’s evil twin. Ye Gods. Illinois, how did you elect this guy?

(I know, I know, like New York State government is some kind of beautiful exemplar of governance….)

All that loser Blagoivich does is put of the same balloon juice about his innocence and expect us to listen to him. Anyone who claims he has NEVER done anything wrong and can give you a well rehersed story is clearly lying. Guilty people always have a sory that so detailed and elaborate that you know it's BS. I lover don't have to say he's a lover, a gangster don't need to say he's a gangster and an innocent man is reluctant to ever proclaim his innocence because it's an insult. And he is also sleezy in the board room with his no answer answers. Fuck R.B.

I voted for his Republican opponent in the last election, despite being a die-hard democrat. But for most Illinoisans… He was the Democrat, he was the incumbent, he had a far better funded, more professional campaign… And the scandals hadn't broken.

I wasn't there the first time he was elected, but I believe it was right after Republican Governor George Ryan was ousted after scandals of his own. Illinois picked the Democrat because they wanted to get rid of the corruption…

How he won the primary I don't know, but that's not so hard if you have the right party machine connections. Voter turnout is so much lower.

Moral of the story is that it's important to vote in primaries, I guess…

Mary has it pegged exactly. The important thing the first time Blagojevich was elected (and I did vote for him) was to get out the long, storied legacy of Ryan corruption. We didn't know Blago would turn out to be just as bad. Now he's an embarrassment.
